Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Well, I'm off to contribute to the low end of the curve. Wish me luck!

Hey. New board.

I catch a super-shuttle in half an hour. Twelve hours and three stops later I'll be home in Mississippi. Catch ya all on the flip side.

Now tagless for your comfort.

There was a woman who lost her son at the mall 2 weeks ago. I only saw her - running through the crowd, pushing a stroller with an infant, sobbing. It has been haunting me. It takes me about .5 seconds to go from stranger-lost-her-son to what-if-it-was-Ellie.

That makes me break out into a cold sweat.

DH found out yesterday that he passed his actuarial exam. He's a full fledged fellow in the CAS now.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Whoot! Good for him, and for all of you.

Yay for passing! IIRC, doesn't this mean there is a raise in the future?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

hooray for actuarial achievement!

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for the new CAS fellow!

Yay for ChiKat!

I was whipped when I got home yesterday. I stopped at the grocery store and bought ready to eat stuff for the kids and sushi for me. Dropped in bed and watched a couple days of taped stuff and went to sleep. This morning I discovered that I had left my laptop on the front seat of my car. Yikes.

But it is back in my lap again. Phew.

I have to e the rest of my shopping list to DH. He loves to shop so he can finish it. My head is all spinny with the amount of stuff still to be done. I got today at work to finish up stuff, tomorrow the kids don't have school so they have to help me get the house together. Saturday over to the other side of the state to do Christmas eve with my family. Sunday I have Christmas dinner for DH's family and friends. Monday I fly to NY. And rest, and play in the snow. Tired now.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

DH found out yesterday that he passed his actuarial exam. He's a full fledged fellow in the CAS now.

Huzzah! It's the wave of the future (decremented).
