Well, that was exciting. Top of a pine just came down. Top third.

Kat, sounds like it. I notice the motion, but it is just fun. I love trains and having to stand on the subways for that reason. Safe surfing, or something.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Right now it seems my options are 1) Argue with housing until they agree to something reasonable 2) Don't mention the cats and hope for the best (not that I'd try to hide them, but I've had a cat there for the past 10 years. I doubt anyone would question it.) 3) Look for a different summer job. None of these options appeal to me at the moment

Aurelia, I'm a firm believer in "its easier to get forgiveness than permission." If you can be subtle with the kitties just take them without saying anything. You have your own quarters, the accounting folks from housing aren't likely to be hanging out there, nobody else would be looking at your bills...

le nubian, they need to stop these zoom shots of spinning tummies and asses! it shows us nothing!!!! And what's with the dark legs/light arms thing?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just fixed my Tivo (it wasn't changing the channel) all by myself. Yay me.

Not to mention how they didn't show the entire men's skating event earlier because a basketball game went over. Have they heard about replaying the event on ESPN2?

And yes, their camera work sucketh. They padded the first 30-45 minutes of tonight's camera in egregious ways.

Man, Olympics coverage is really going to suck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, that was exciting. Top of a pine just came down. Top third.

Eek! I heard a trash can or something blow over, but that's about it here so far...

I don't mind the left-over motion, either, which is a good thing, since I still get a little vertigo after flying. Actually, when I was a kid, one of my going to sleep methods involved imagining that I was lying in or near the ocean with the waves, so.

I have another hour and a half to wait for my bag. Annoying!!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Different network, but I don't see anything changing.

Why is your bag not there, Jesse?

le nubian, I am sore afraid.

I am amused that Peggy Flemming has a Bentley. I am amused that anybody drives their own Bentley.

Damned if I know. Apparently checking in seven hours early for the flight wasn't enough.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmph. My plan to go see the former date in Corpus Christi was defeated by the 20 minute wait for my check at the usually lightning quick sushi bar. And since I only had one single on me, I couldn't leave a pittance as a tip and make it up with cash in the (excellent) sushi chefs' tip jar.

Well played, Cheshire waitress. Well played.
