"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmph. My plan to go see the former date in Corpus Christi was defeated by the 20 minute wait for my check at the usually lightning quick sushi bar. And since I only had one single on me, I couldn't leave a pittance as a tip and make it up with cash in the (excellent) sushi chefs' tip jar.

Well played, Cheshire waitress. Well played.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What I have gotten done today is watched a lot of tv, and added album cover photos for nearly all of my stuff in iTunes. Pretty!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently checking in seven hours early for the flight wasn't enough.

That just gave them more time to do stuff with it.

Adama just showed up on Miami Vice. It'd have given me whiplash if I didn't already have it.

Stupid lost bags. It's now 6:30 and Lori went to sleep for the night. I see a rude awakening for her at about 3:00 AM.

Then again, I am sleepy too. Maybe I'll go to bed.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Trudy, ha! I can't quite picture her driving the Bentley.

Did you see any of the men's coverage earlier today?

That just gave them more time to do stuff with it.

Three of the four bags checked in at the same time made it, and it was (apparently) never lost. But god forbid they should have put it on the next flight -- last night they told me it was on the flight after that, arriving NYC at 1:30 this afternoon. Bah.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I did not. Did Michael Weiss skate? I'm a little in love with Michael Weiss.

No, wait, I guess he's all old now. Feh.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Trudy, yes Weiss skated. A friend of mine HATES Michael Weiss. So I'm amused that you like him. I'm pretty neutral on him.

Anyway, he did okay, but not good enough. He didn't make the team.

So much for my edit!

I'm glad he skated, sad he's not going.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

weather here, sorta rainy , sorta drippy , just sorta damp. with promise of sun.

today we bought a new floor lamp that is really cool. We also spent 17 bajillion hours at home depot looking at closet organizing stuff. We ended up with the basic solution - just a new bar and brackets that are hung up as high as we can reach a hanger in closet. then we will decide on possible second bar or just building in drawers. After that will be the redoing of the doors.

Bonuses from the project.

1) we did not plan to take off the original supports for the old bar, but we ended up needing to - so I get to paint.

2) the old supports - beautiful quarterer douglas fir or spruce. I suspect a bunch will become guitar braces. and there is on really nice looking larger board.

3) I have a lovely scrape on my right wrist and a bruise and swelling on my left wrist with one our new plywood supports tried to kill me. Because of the information I have learned from hanging out here the bruise is not something anyone will notice because I got ice on it right away.
