I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

We came home to find a piece of american cheese on our driveway. Presumably deposited by the Frat Boys Next Door, who were grilling out (on this blustery and cold day). It's 20 feet throught a hedge to throw - were they lucky, or did they walk over to our diveway and place a piece of cheese for us to find? WTF?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My guess is that the cheese was trying to escape, but ran out of steam (what with the not having legs or any other very efficient means of propulsion.)

mr. flea attempted to throw it back at them. Cheese, especially in slice form, is hard to throw.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Aha! A clue in the "Who moved my cheese?" mystery!

ION, I would like to wrap my kid in duct tape and stick her to the wall today. Can we say "testing"? Paint on the wall, remote in the VCR, etc.

Maybe Casper moved your cheese?

Secret to flea: You said lovely things in my lj last week and I wanted to thank you. But I don't have your e. So I am saying it here. And then probably deleting cause of the whole private thoughts, public board thing.

Cass: It was when I discussed that flattering new undergarment you were modeling in the locked photo post, right? Oh no, I've said too much...

It's actually snowing here. Not much, but it is. And hellishly windy. So much so that I was wrestling to keep my grocery cart stationary as I unloaded.

I really really like the idea of a roomba. Just with my set up and the pricetag on it, I can't justify it as an experiment. My regular vacuums don't cost that much together. And I don't hate vacuuming. I find it satisfying.

Besides, if Mister Kitty decided to sit on it (they are both furry heat seeking missiles, but he's 16-17 lbs of missile) I'm afraid he'd burn out motors. And he doesn't run from the vacuum.

I have koolaid freckles on my hand. Oops.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh.

Will other people be mad at me if I'm glad it's gone down from the 50s to the 40s today? Because my apartment is heated as if it were in the 20s. It's finally not actively hot in here. My window is open.

Still no luggage.
