All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I feel much better when I eat small amounts several times a day instead of more traditional meals at 3 meal times. I could see how sleep might work that way to a point. I think his plan is too extreme though. Remembering dreams is a sign that one is not completing a REM cycle, isn't it? I'd be more likely to try for 2 or 3 shortened sleep periods. Of course, even that won't work with my schedule.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sleep-deprived rats, for example, simply drop dead after about 15 days.

Before that, though, their appetites increase dramatically to the point where they're eating twice their body weight, but still getting thinner, their hair falls out, and they get lesions on their tails.

My mom was involved in a study that demonstrated all of this, and was kind of aghast when fashion mags started calling to ask about sleep dep as a weight-loss technique.

aurelia, yep. it took me a minute to remember.

Lori's still asleep. It's chilly and rainy (and after time in the Bahamas, I'm in total agreement with ita re: warm weather there is not the same as the warm weather here) and I'm unmotivated.

I'm off to a dark theatre. Happy Saturdays, all.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm off to a dark theatre.

A theatre without internet access? Or one devoted to the dark side, where they produce works by up-and-coming Sith playwrights?

Plei, a guy I work with is the Director of Development at Woodland Park. He was telling me last month about some really exciting early child development focused stuff they're going to be doing in the next few years. You should have some really neat things to do with the Bean.

ETA: OMG, that face!

Holy cow, Plei, what a cutie-head. And you look pretty fantastic yourself, actually. Great pictures!
