I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm off to a dark theatre.

A theatre without internet access? Or one devoted to the dark side, where they produce works by up-and-coming Sith playwrights?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

We're going to go to the aquarium. Whee! Because it's too nasty for the zoo.

A couple more pics of the girl, who hit 9 months last night.

Where the hell does the time go?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Plei, a guy I work with is the Director of Development at Woodland Park. He was telling me last month about some really exciting early child development focused stuff they're going to be doing in the next few years. You should have some really neat things to do with the Bean.

ETA: OMG, that face!

Holy cow, Plei, what a cutie-head. And you look pretty fantastic yourself, actually. Great pictures!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat-- I am sort of around this weekend (at work right now) but I don't have Monday off, sadly. What up? Were the dogs and Maceo okay?

Plei--SO SO SO adorable. You done good.

(Sleep-deprived rats, for example, simply drop dead after about 15 days. No tests have been done in humans to determine what our limit is, if we have one.)

Randy Gardner managed 260 hours (11 days) without suffering any psychosis, paranoia, or other long-term adverse effects. If there's a drop-dead limit it must be a good bit further on than that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Last night the stoopidhead apple repair people told me they hadn't even gotten the part to fix my computer in yet, so this morning I caved and "bought" a loaner laptop to use until they fix mine or decide they won't be able to get the part and give me a new one. (Yay for having six months left on Apple Care).

Good god, is Lilly cute.

How was your trip, Kat?

How are the kitties, Aurelia? I hope you can work something out with Housing.

It's raining here, but I have a three day weekend to loll about and now internet access, so I am not sure I care.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lily adorable. Plei gorgeous and relaxed. Sigh... Makes babies look like the best idea in the entire world. Just as it should be for those that have them.
