Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Dear Universe,

Please send a person (or persons) to bash open my skull and release the ouchy meanies inside.

Assault by friend preferred but all offers will be considered.

Damn these headaches to hell, I tell you.

Sincerely, Cass

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cindy, thanks for the concern. However, the process of ditching a class I assist involves leaving a message at the front desk (done). Ditching a class I teach with less than 24 hours notice involves me finding my own replacement. Which means getting a bunch of numbers, calling a bunch of people I've never spoken to on the phone and asking their help. Just as they're leaving work.

So I'm going to take the time I've gained by ditching the 6:45 and rest up for the 8:45. Sure beats the alternative.

Seriously. I still think this is one of the best network shows I'm watching.
It's definitely the best one I am watching. I am cross with myself for not finding it sooner than I did. Though I'm not sure that getting a dog is the way to insta-happy and joy. I do like that I get to be angry at characters and still not want them hurt too much, basically that there can be actual dimensions.

I'm getting the pig!

I agree with everything Kat just said about GA. I can't think of one single bad episode all season. It's my only CAN'T MISS, don't even THINK of calling me during, for the love of all that's sacred SHUT-UP when the people in the box are talking show.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Yep, Cass, I agree totally. Especially given that they are people who are profoundly busy and it seems a cruel thing to do to the dog. I'm also cracking up at the teaser for the next one: It looks like Santa threw up in here! Sigh. So good.

ETA I got a pretty number!

Nicole, they have episodes that aren't as good, aren't as gut wrenching, but, honestly, even their not engaging stuff is still watch-a-couple-of-times-through for me. And I now have 19 episodes on the tivo that need to come off at some point and I'm so fucking worked that I can't get it to my computer.

ARGH.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Well, I decided to bag the con. At least this way I can take G out to dinner for his birthday, if nothing else.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

OMG. Tom's bunny picture link is the best ever. Which reminds me... lo these many months ago (maybe right after the 2004 election?), someone posted a link to pictures of a cat dressed as Ron Weasley for Halloween. I saved the link on my old computer but didn't transfer it over to the new one. It's a long shot, but does anyone still have it? Google is giving me no love.

(I wish I could say it's for an actual purpose, and not just because I want to be able to access a picture of a cat dressed as Ron Weasley at a moment's notice, but... well, I am who I am.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, did you all know that Nip/Tuck's The Carver has an LJ acct? S/he has entries and is posting in N/T communities.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aw, man. I'm totally tempted to get Emmett one of the miniatures. Gotta check with Hec first which one he'd like best.

Probably the Sting.
