Aw, man. I'm totally tempted to get Emmett one of the miniatures. Gotta check with Hec first which one he'd like best.
Probably the Sting.

Why am I watching The Triangle? It's greatly annoying me. I should just turn it off and delete all the installments, right?
ETA: Or does it get better?
they have episodes that aren't as good, aren't as gut wrenching, but, honestly, even their not engaging stuff is still watch-a-couple-of-times-through for me.
I agree that not all are as awesome as some, but still quite good. I've actually denied myself watching each ep more than once so that when the dvds come, I can watch them all over again. Tis hard.
The new season of Queer Eye is starting out with a two-parter engagement/wedding special. For when you care enough to turn your special personal celebration into a circus for mass market consumption. (This couple is very cute, and the choices they've made for the wedding itself are pretty classy, but nothing has the sort of personal touch that the two people would have come up with if left to their own devices).
I think I'm going to take a pass on "The Wedding Season" since it seems to be more about turning men into groombots than teaching them how to improve their quality of life. And, of course, no snarking or risque comments from the Fab 5 because that wouldn't be family-friendly.
This summer I watched the first 9 beginning to end at least twice.
Does Invasion move while Alias is in it's slot? Or is it off the schedule for a while?

Own devices? Wedding? Most of the people I know who did it without professional help weren't even up to their own devices.
Oh but I did just see a promo for Colin's show so it hasn't been an entire waste of time.

Jealous!

I know many people that go so far over the top and try to impress everyone with their wedding that it fails to represent anything about them. I'd think that Queer Eye would steer couples back to showing off a little of their own style. Then again, I could be wrong. It's happened a few times in the past.
I don't mean that they would be doing anything by hand themselves, but generally they (well, the bride anyway) would be making choices rather than just saying yes to whatever Ted or Thom suggest. Same deal only moreso for all the stagey public display fakery of the proposal, which had me hoping that Laura would say no.
There was one entertaining moment when Kyan warned Laura that if she cried at the wedding and ruined her makeup, he would kill her.
