That's a little disturbing. The tv, that is.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Morimoto vs Christophe Eme. I think it's going to be airing in March (obviously I'll be keeping an eye out!)

(Sadly, I can't say much more than that, because the confidentiality agreement I signed when we went in says that Food Network can sue me for $2million for spoilers about the secret ingredient and/or winner. But believe me when I say it was AWESOME.)

What you don't notice on the show is how small the studio actually is. It's all shot with extreme wide-angle lenses to make it look bigger, but nothing is more than 5 feet from anything else in the entire kitchen stadium. And AB's running commentary is even more impressive seeing it live -- he's pretty much talking nonstop for the entire hour of the battle, and none of it is scripted (except the bumpers, of course).

I got a picture with me and AB, but it's trapped in DH's camera right now -- I'll post it when I get home in a few hours.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Dana, that is wonderful wonderful news. Congratulations.

Always Anti-fascist!

I love Fake Accent as a joke. DW also pretended he couldn't be English on the Wire Season 2, bwah. Also actors pretending they can't act, or get nervous in front of a camera.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love people complaining that Vartan's French accent is crap. But I do have a French Canadian friend that does the worst Quebeçois accents ever.

OK, so I've had this tickle in my throat today and so to keep from coughing my brains out, I have been consuming way too many of the old fashioned hard candies someone brought in. Which are fine, except you have NO IDEA what flavor you are getting, thus stealth licorice happens. Which is just really offputting. The cinnamon ones are pretty startling too.

And these are truly old fashioned in that the licorice tastes a bit like, well, my grandmother's old hatboxes smelled. I have no idea why.

I really need to stop on the way home and pick up some sugarless candies that are not licorice.
