Yes, I own an xB, and I heart it fiercely. It is the perfect family car -- you can fit anything into it, including two kids and a Christmas tree. Yet it gets respectable gas mileage (30s) and fits into a compact space.
The downside? Not-so-great highway acceleration. Think of it as the VW Microbus for the new century, although not *as* underpowered; unlike the VW, it is possible to drive into a headwind.
Woohoo! I successfully talked myself into a raise! (Got slightly chastised by the IT guy for downloading large files and screwing up bandwidth, but we'll ignore that for the moment.)
Raise! This means I don't have to consider the job that would pay more but would involve 55-hour weeks plus two hours of commuting!
There was something on that or TDS that I so wanted to remember so I could tag it, but I've spaced on it completely today.
Was it from the Corddry story on Harry Belafonte? Between using his appearance on the Muppet Show as "evidence" of his "radical beliefs" (whoever did the voice of Scooter nailed it), and the extended "Day-O" joke, I was almost rolling on the floor.
Oh, yay, Dana. Good for you!
Was it from the Corddry story on Harry Belafonte?
No, that was priceless too, but nothing exactly quotable/taggable there.
