What is even happening?

Raise! This means I don't have to consider the job that would pay more but would involve 55-hour weeks plus two hours of commuting!

YAY!!!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Was it from the Corddry story on Harry Belafonte?

No, that was priceless too, but nothing exactly quotable/taggable there.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

You ended up with a Saab, right?

yes, which I lovelovelove. Unfortunatley, the more bells and whistles there are on a car, the more chance for things to go wrong. I've had some random shit happen, like the door sensor went whacko, so I couldn't turn off the interior lights because the care thought that the door was open, and the alarm kept going off.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Congratulations, Dana!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Rock on, Dana!

Question: Cute Bookstore Guy is making me dinner tonight. Am I supposed to bring anything? I know a bottle of wine or something similar is what you usually bring to a dinner party, but I don't know if the rules are the same for a date. Help!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd bring wine or flowers or something but I'm kind of a date deflector.

Still--it's something nice you've done, right?

(also--go you!)
