She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Functionally, I have a steam alarm.
Not as useful. Get a new detector. I will happily relink the one I pimped last night. I don't like the idea of Buffistas flambe.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

No need to re-link. It's interesting that the hush button nearly doubles the price on those smoke detectors.

Write, Allyson. Write like the wind.

Did anyone else watch the pilot of Emily's Reasons Why Not tonight? I did. I don't know why, possibly just for Heather Graham, but I digress... This not even subtle ripoff of Sex in the City was not only not at all funny, nothing in the show -- not a single line, or joke, or bit of action -- came even remotely close to pinging my funny detector. It was easily the least funny or interesting show I've ever seen. After the first five minutes, I decided I had to watch the whole thing, just to see if it could sustain that level of not funny. It did. I hope this show dies very quickly. Possibly even before another episode airs.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Apoplectic is a word, right?

Yup.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Apoplectic is a cromulent word. With words like that you'll be done in no time.

Cass, have you seen Ultraviolet? The Brit vampire series starring Cmdr. Norrington? Er, Jack Davenport? And Idris Elba? The Waking the Dead aquakiller is in that, too. Nummy.

I'm a little obsess-y. Does it show? I was surprised at how inexpensive my detector was when I froogled it. I'd pay double for a hush botton.

Cass, have you seen Ultraviolet?
I have not. But I will find it and watch it. Oh yes I will. Mmmm, nummies...

edit: Added it to my queue. Thanks for the rec! Now to move it up in the order...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dammit. I forgot to record Emily's Reasons. A friend is executive producing it, and I hoped it'd be good.

Anyone awake to read? Anyone? Shit. I've only completed one of four. Shit. Can someone go to work and pretend to be me, tomorrow?

Also? Thank you for the support, it's so appreciate I can't even tell you because I'm all out of words for the evening.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Here's hoping that Allyson got some sleep... and maybe calls in sick today. I'd excuse her, for sure.
