The salmon curry at Thai Chilli

Oh YUM. There's a seafood place in my neighborhood that does an AMAZING salmon red curry. I've tried to replicate it, but mine always comes out too thin. (I suspect I'm not using enough coconut fat, which is generally the case when replicating restaurant recipes.)

My former roommates once bought a feeder mouse to give to their cats. The smart one looked at us as if to say "you don't really expect me to go to the effort of killing that when there are chicken wings in the trash with more meat on them?" and the dumb one started grooming it.

"Hey, I'm a pacifist, ok?"

Wasn't the end of that ep cute? The draw of this is more the relationship than the mystery, and "We're not really group hug sort of people." "That's where a daughter would have come in handy." plus the hug chase were just too charming.

Absolutely -- the family is my favorite thing and the daughter line was my favorite line of the episode.

Animal Planet is going to have a special about the National Zoo's baby panda tonight!

Also, this afternoon there is going to be an episode of Animal Precinct with a house full of beagles.

Mouse: "Ohshitohshitohshitohshit."

I slept in until noon. AWESOME. Then up for a couple of hours catching up on Ellen's with both cats sleeping on me. Now I am getting antsy and may actually shower. I am gonna lounge a bit more and think on that.

Scared of Santa Gallery. So. Damn. Funny.

Some of the kids look traumatized and some of the Santas look drunk.

David Boreanaz is getting Punk'd. Supposedly his wife cut her mouth on broken glass in her salad. He was so pissed at the waiter.

brenda, Thai Spice is right across the street from me and around the corner is Blue Elephant (not strictly Thai). Both excellent choices.
