Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The recaporama was annoying because they showed one of my favorite clips in the commercial "SOMEBODY SEDATE ME!" but not in the show. grr.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I feel I should test this one, but if the bacon didn't set it off, I'd probably have to set the doorframe on fire.
Let's not test this theory, m'kay?

I have the last two Mile Highs to watch next. I am hoping that this fun-filled tension headache is slayed by the Midrine before I start the show. Elsewise I'm going for ice and I don't wanna.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Go forth and purchase a Fire Sentry Ionization Smoke Alarm Model 0914.

My smoke detector goes off if I take a hot shower. Since I like hot showers, my smoke detector tends to remain inactivated for years at a time.

hip deep in pie

I really should be in bed. I have packed my lunch for tomorrow and gotten a week's worth of vitamins ready to take to work. I am hyper and exhausted at the same time.

My wee little bungalow house, at something around 1100 square feet, has four smoke detectors. I've a fondness for candles that makes them prudent.

The kitchen one (previously linkied) is the most twitchy, but given my post-Christmas Fire of Negligence, I'd rather it were too sensitive than not enough. But it is located where I can jump and reach it without a stepstool since it goes off every few weeks when I am cooking.

Having another cookie is always a valid life choice.

Cass, may I tag?

I would be pleased if you did.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Vacation highlights: Buying my nephew a play shopping cart and filling it up with toys and letting him zooooom all over the mall.

Getting separated from my SIL and nephew at the mall and then hearing the baby holler in a singsong wee voice, "Allysooooon....where are yooooouuuuu?" in Macy's.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and then hearing the baby holler in a singsong wee voice, "Allysooooon....where are yooooouuuuu?" in Macy's.

Heh. That's a good image.

The GA clip show was weird.

Oh, thank goodness it was a clip show. I leaned back on my couch at 5pm and had an unplanned 6 hour nap today. Glad to see I missed nothing new.

I'm now faced with the dilemma of being hungry, having no appetizing food in the house, and not being in the mood for microwave burritos from the 24-hour convenience store.
