I haven't been able to read Emmett yet. I'm unsure of how to, because last season, Jay won almost none of the challenges and then won the whole damn thing. Emmett is flying below the radar, just like Jay did, and could come into being in the final 3 and then blow everyone away. Santino is this season's Austin. He's this close to blowing his wad and then he'll be done. Then they go and have beautiful children together.

Well, Jay didn't win challenges but he did really interesting and memorable work. I'm finding Emmett's stuff really boring.
Oh, I love him.
I could listen to his voice forever. Only one of his guests has irritated me, and he didn't. Just her.
The only thing is that Emmett still hasn't shown any signs of real flair yet--those babydoll dresses, as cute as some of them are (I liked the Barbie blue one), are just repeats of the same basic design. By this point, IIRC, Jay had created that brilliant Banana Republic Art Deco dress (too bad it was too difficult to make cheaply, otherwise I think he might have beat out Wendy Pepper that week), as well as shown other flashes of his unique style.

Yes, there is sort of a theme.
I listened to a bit of Mugglecast and came away with the same age-group feeling, not for me.
I like (Project Runway) Emmett-- he's cute, smart and nice. But last episode he mentioned how hard it was for him to design a woman's dress.
That's freaking ridiculous. It should be the easiest thing to do for the people on PR. Nevertheless I really liked his dress; what gorgeous fabric he chose.
Jay totally would have won the BR challenge if the dress had been easier to make.
Although, they only made 200 of the Wendy Pepper dress.
I'll have to check those out, Gud.
And I need to remind myself to scan iTunes store for some Lou Rawls when I get home.

I think this design was the best PR ever had; Santino's dress this week was an ill-proportioned imitation.
Wendy's BR dress was stupid, I thought (who the fuck would wear that cape), but I thought she did redeem herself with the Nancy O'Dell dress.
I think the Berkeley guys are kinda annoying until they get to their guests, but the guests are often pretty good.
