Well from listening to the podcast of the lingere show, it seems Daniel was cut because he took responsibility which seems really really lame. I totally think that Santino should have been cut for being abusive and blaming someone on his team.

Apparently it's okay if the president wants to do it. Maybe it's because I've been watching Babylon 5 recently (I just finished season 4, it sure seems like they never expected to have a season 5), but I think this is a critical precedent not to set for the president.
