Hi everyone.
Totally random question: does anyone know of a website (or book, but website would be preferred, since I'm too lazy to go to the library today) that shows German army uniforms from about 1880 until 1930ish? I found a picture of a man in uniform with my grandmother's things, and I'm trying to figure out who and when it is, and that's about as far as I can narrow the date down from other stuff in the photo. (I'm actually pretty sure it's more like 1900-1920, but I'm not positive about that.)
I'm even wearing Talbot's right now, come to think of it.
Bahahaha! I'm not (I'm wearing VS pink polka dot flannel pjs). I just think of Talbots as not for the "Let's Meet at 11!" crowd.
I'm such a morning person I can't even conceive of meeting that late.
I know people who don't even think 11pm is "late night." Those people are not my people.
You're totally wasting New York! Give up your space to someone else!
It was suggested I go out drinking last night. Wednesdays are not for last minute late night plans. I'm pretty sure of that. I went to McGill, and last-minute late-night doesn't start until Thursday.

Even just saying "Cross-cultural communication" is hard!
Li'l Sphere
That's such an adorable nickname!
a cheap old nylon-string guitar I pulled out of storage at my parents' house
So, truly his father's son, right? You had an avatar on WX with a guitar, right?
He's 11 months next week
What, already? Wow. Also, I wish there could be pictures, too.
Did your philosophy of science class go well?
I just talked about it with Cindy a few posts ago: Nilly "Natter 41: Why Do I Click on ita's Links?!" Jan 5, 2006 7:01:24 am PST
I'm also still slightly miffed that my Shakespeare class switched from the Riverside edition to another, less beautiful edition the semester I took it
That's completely understandable. I own two copies.

I have some Talbots I really like -- ankle length grey wool A-line skirt, grey wool
pleated
trousers, and a black ankle length wrap skirt with 18" line paisley drawings. I really really need to replace the pants, but I can't bear to go back in.
I'll go with you. PLEATED! ACK! OHMIGOD!
I like Talbots well enough. I just don't own very much of it.
And I wish I could post pictures, 'cause I swear that kid gets cuter every day.
Aw! I can't believe he's that big already.

Bah! This is why I live in Queens, anyway.
I just think of Talbots as not for the "Let's Meet at 11!" crowd.
I will say, my Talbot's shirt I'm wearing is shiny and red and hardly matronly at all. I think.
But you're thin enough that pleated would look good on you.
Okay, question: how many people here fear swimming in deep water? in the pool? in a lake? in the ocean?
I ask because morning news said 46% of people fear deep water in pools and ~60% fear deep water in oceans and lakes.
