Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ION, Bill O'Reilly was on Letterman last night. [link] I can't get the clip to work on this lame-ass computer, but I bet it's a good time.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

RIO! Howdy.

Have a doggie yet?

Me, I am procrastinating on the very necessary step of ridding my office of useless piles of paper. It is perfectly cromulent to sit here, hiding behing giant walls of dead trees, right?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Not on this topic -- the NYTimes op-ed section has been on the "women, get back in the kitchen, you know you want to!" train for a while now. Irritates me no end.

Not just the op-ed section, either.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I wonder if men not placing as high a premium on homemaker skills in a mate might have something to do with the sons of working moms actually having to learn how to do housework for themselves rather than be waited on hand and foot by a female relative at all times.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Tierney's such a jackass. I can't waste my brain cells reading him, I only have so many. What can I say? It was him or the Budweiser.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Brooks has a doozy out now too.

Coding and Sleeping

Leif was being funny last night. He dicided that running into things is funny so he kept running into the sofa thud and then into the wall THUD. Then he was demand that I laugh because it was funny. Sort of patter-patter-patter-THUD! whump "You laugh daddy!" repeated about 20 times.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Brooks always has a doozy. And unlike Safire, he never admits it when I catch him in a grammatical or rhetorical mistake. I stopped counting, because there were too many.
