We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, shrift!!

Here's how bad my morning at home was: I have high hopes that now that I'm at work, everything will be OK. It was one problem after another, topped off by pouring curdled cream into my coffee when I was already running late. Then I had to go outside into the cold windy rain. Then when I sat down at my desk, there was suspicious shmutz on my pants. At least now I'm warm and inside.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, Jesse, are those fire alarms I hear?

HA HA HA. God forbid there's a fire drill. I'm staying inside.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Jesse, Not that I am competitive or anything, but here was my morning:

Awakened at 4:30 by mechanical motor buzzing noises, sounds like a motor is trying to turn on but not succeeding, over and over and over. Earplugs do not drown it out, putting my humidifier on full on does. Get up at normal time, NO HOT WATER!! The cold and rainy stuff is the same as yours. Get to work, the building's fire alarm goes off WHILE I AM IN THE elevator! Does not stop for over 5 minutes, no announcements. After it has been off for 15 minutes they announce that it was a test.

All in all a sucky morning, but I am in a good mood, so I laugh at the silly bad morning.

Also? my cake? a big hit at work.

You might win, except for the part where I'm in a BAD MOOD.

My morning's great so far, and I don't intend to compete with y'all.

Hella insomnia, though. But no migraine, so I'm not trading. Waking up sleepy is just fine if I get to choose.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I too had insomnia. Or anyway, I woke up hourly, in that sudden way where suddenly I could hear the humidifier motor, where I hadn't an instant before.

No daylight lamps after 10pm for me!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I took a nice hot bath last night and got good and sleepy. Then I crawled into bed. Then the heartburn hit. By the time the heartburn was gone, so was the sleepiness. So I got three or four hours of sleep. But I did get plenty of sleep over the weekend, so I'm not doing so bad now.

OK, you know what helps? Getting super cute pictures of my friend's new baby. So cute!!!! Seriously, much cuter than the average newborn.
