Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy New Year! First Night was fun. Of course, it didn't hurt that one of my favorite acapella groups(The Chromatics) was the lead-up-to-midnight group. I could even deal with sitting on cold stone steps to hear them do various pop covers.(Including a version of "Safety Dance" where some of the harmony bits were references to other dances/dance songs. Very silly)

Tonight we go to G's mom's place for dinner.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronk. Heya. A Litttle hungover, and still on CST. Oops.

Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes, and sarameg made me tear up a little.

I did not speak at the movie in French, probably because there was no French being spoken.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cute puppy. Hear you about the clippedness, though.

Still, not his fault.

Morning, Bay Area lady!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Rio, re the pup-getting, Hec says RIGHT ON!!! It is possible that he pumps his fist in the air while so saying.

Cropped ears really distress me. Why the fuck do people do that?

Are you ready to be strong?

I totally don't get it. I guess it makes the dog look "tough"? I have no idea.

Someone in San Francisco really needs to adopt this poor honey:

I read about her the other day and couldn't stop crying. What the fuck is wrong with people.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We had uncropped Dobies (both ears and tails intact) and despite 99% of other Pinschers being cropped, the shorn look is still weird to me, and makes me flinch--but not in fear, just in discomfort.

I don't read animal abuse stories. I can't help hating my whole species just a little bit more when I do.

I know, it makes my own ears twitch.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Uncropped Dobies are the cutest dogs EVAH. I love unclipped dogs. ALL of em. They are far cuter.

The last time we were at the animal rescue, there was an itty bitty baby rednose pit bull. I tried to put him in my bag.

I am bored witless. Are stores normally open New Year's Day? I think a gentle bout of book shopping should fix what ails me.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I think stores are open, ita.

I feel sorry for that poor pit bull. But dog-reactive is a no-no for me. When the time comes, I'll probably be looking for a shepherd mix of some sort.

I did some yard work, yay! Finally cut back my roses, but the side yard is simply covered with oxalis. I'm tempted to bring in the nuclear weapons.
