We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Happy New Year, RIO!

I am up. And I should call my sister about going running but I don't really want to. Maybe we could go tomorrow?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Rio!!! What kind of dog, she asks, typing with one hand, as her dog is sleeping with her head on the other which is UNBEARABLY ADORABLE.

A pit bull. We're looking around at local shelters. The difficulty is not taking ALL of them home immediately, especially once you've heard their stories.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's excellent news, Rio! Do you know which dog, or is it at the theoretical decision stage? [eta: xpost]

I got my answer about why you don't have a consistent director for TV shows--apparently the workload doesn't permit it--that if all you did was direct Buffy eps, you'd only be able to do one in three, max. Consistency comes from the DP, the crew, the cast, and sometimes a consulting producer (like the guy who did the pilot). Plus, there's generally a pool of regulars.

Do you know which dog

So far this one is the leading contender.

He's six months old, very sweet, a Hurricane Katrina rescue.

I'm gonna look at some more adults today and some puppies later this week and then take Saget around to see my faves. I think we'll be all dogged up in 2 weeks' time.

That pup has the sweetest face ever.

I wish his ears weren't clipped, but oh well. Still pretty.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy New Year! First Night was fun. Of course, it didn't hurt that one of my favorite acapella groups(The Chromatics) was the lead-up-to-midnight group. I could even deal with sitting on cold stone steps to hear them do various pop covers.(Including a version of "Safety Dance" where some of the harmony bits were references to other dances/dance songs. Very silly)

Tonight we go to G's mom's place for dinner.
