Excellent cross post.
Natter 41: Why Do I Click on ita's Links?!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Much love to both J and you, Perkins.
Thanks, you two. I'm just having trouble adjusting to the idea of not being where I've been, both physically and in the daily routines of others. If that makes sense.
The flight was meh. Long and cramped (Northwest blows if you have to fly in steerage), but it is over and done with and now I'm here, waiting to start my new life. So.
It's odd to come from the winter wonderland MN turned in to and be in the middle of green and wet.
Heh, Cindy.

It makes a ton of sense. And it'll get better. Mostly, you don't have to get used to the idea, if you just keep doing it.

Oh, yeah. Even without the big difference in landscape and weather, whenever I'm in a new place, everything just looks too new and different for a while. Just the visual change can really throw me for a loop, and the routines? Forget about it. I hope that adjustment period passes quickly and easily.
In shallow (and 90s R&B) news, "Me and the crew used to do her" has got to be the illest song lyric EVAR.
That line is poison.
Jesse, I LOVE that line. Enough that I have to say it out loud every time I hear the song.
My sister just pointed out to me that Dhani Jones was on People's hottest bachelor list for 2005. I don't think I'd known that. Man, he used to be some guy (admittedly some pretty guy I took pictures of) who played ball for U of M and had us round every now and again.
That should do me for, oh, another year.
Well, 2005 is taken care of. Ring the new one in.
I just had a nap I wasn't expecting. I can't decide if I haul my ass out and go see King Kong or not.
Juliana -- adventure. It'll be cool. You have hella great people on your side.
Reasons I love having a kid: she walks up and says "What are you doing, sweetheart mommy?"
What I am doing is geting ready for bed. Evem the suspense of 'will Dick Clark be real or a DickClarkBot?' cannot keep me up til midnight.
Julianna - welcome to your new home area. It is very strange and odd when you start thinking this place will be my new home, but I am guessing you will enjoy it. Acc'ding to my mom - who was a navy wife, it takes about a year for a new town to become home. So revel in the strangeness with the comfort of your cat and friends.
