To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought llamas were the new monkey? Or are they only the new goat?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Goats are the new monkey. Llamas are the new goat. Nutmeat is the new llama.

Everyone clear?

hip deep in pie

Nutmeat sounds like a vegan porn star.

Or a hobbit.

Nutmeat. I believe I'm going to appropriate that as an insult. "No, no! The other drawer, you nutmeat!" "What a nutmeat." "Suck my nutmeat." "Back off or I will kick you in the nutmeat!"

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was only speaking as to my vocabulary and use of words as general space/word fillers a la "smurf" right now, Monkey is the default word of choice. Noodle is a close second.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"No, no! The other drawer, you nutmeat!"

I think I will use this myself.

My plan for New Years Day is making fruitcake. I'm using a fifty-year-old recipe. First question: what the hell is nutmeat and if it's not on FreshDirect does that mean I can't get it at like a Whole Foods?

This recipe wouldn't be from the Maenads' Cookbook, would it?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What do you guys think about replacing candied fruit with crystallized ginger in fruitcake?

LOVE IT. Except, probably replacing it 1-1 would be too gingery for most people. Unless you get the dollar store crystallized ginger.

It's eerily quiet here. I have one task to do today, it lookslike (all the other people I need seem to be absent), and I've done nothing more than open the Word document. Even Krispy Kremes aren't attracting me.
