Man, you just get darker and darker, and the weird thing is, your aura? Beige.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it has gotten into the 70s in the Valley most days

Simi, usually the armpit of hell, doesn't seem to have made it that far. Might be the winds. West LA certainly hasn't.

Just watched the trailer for SLiTHER. Nice job. Go team Fillion.

I'd turn into a cheerful person or something else equally appalling.

There is that to consider....

msbelle, snail mail or email? Which is a dumb question, because either way, the answer is newp.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

My view is that the purpose of winter is to enhance the enjoyment of dark ales. In this it succeeds admirably. Thus making it not so bad.

I therefore bestow upon winter the coveted grade of "Meets Expectations".

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Today=much better than yesterday, at least so far. I was late to work, but I was told not to rush since I was one of two people who came in yesterday. Nat. boss called my boss to tell her I was awesome for putting together a thing for our conference (this works well for both boss and I since boss has been going to bat for me, so now Nat. boss has a clear idea of who I am and what I do, and boss doesn't look like she's just talking out of her ass). We have a christmas party in about an hour. I get off early today. And this morning there was an email from the director of the Katrina project laying out a solid plan to help my lady from yesterday.

I took Hec's book with me to the bar last night where it was coveted by Mr. Jane's coworkers and a music critic from our weekly rag. I will show it off to our musically inclined friends tonight- so Hec, be prepared for sales to shoot up by at least 8.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My view is that the purpose of winter is to enhance the enjoyment of dark ales.

Heh -- spoken like a Brit.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Slither could only be cooler if it was about giant snails.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

My view is that the purpose of winter is to enhance the enjoyment of dark ales. In this it succeeds admirably. Thus making it not so bad.

So true.

I'll keep an eye out. I got absolutely no mail yesterday, which was kind of weird.

Maybe they're all dead. Maybe the apocalypse has happened.

Finally! People at work have started replying to my emails. Slackers.
