Mine was a chunk of turquoise set in silver that DH carved a band for out of dense cherry wood, and inset the brooch. For our 13th anniversary, we had my mom's diamond solitaire reset, but I never wear it. The wedding band I love is hallmarked Irish sterling, with a cabochon moonstone in a yellow gold bezel, bracketed with spirals--they're applied siver wire, one unbroken strand that encircles the band from one spiral to the other. It's full of symbolism for us, and was a 20th anniversary gift. DeBeers isn't anywhere in it.l

My sister shares an Engagement Day with you, or at least an Officially Announced Engagement Day (that's when I found out about it, at least).
