Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

Are you ready to be strong?

Congratulations CV!!!

when the wedding band is added, I'll just wear the engagement ring on my right hand!

This is what I do, and the only weird thing about it is that when people say "What a beautiful ring" I feel compelled to tell them "It's my engagement ring," because that's a big part of what makes it so beautiful to me, and then they go, "Oh! Congratulations!" and there's an awkward moment when I say, "Oh, um, no--we're already married. It's just. Um. That's my engagement ring." Then I feel crazy and they're sorry they asked. So when people compliment you just say THANK YOU full stop.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So when people compliment you just say THANK YOU full stop.

And BEEP. Don't forget to BEEP.

multipurpose gift certificates are the best!

Looking for a hotel in London is making me batty.

Now I want to say BEEP.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Best Wishes, CV, and congratulations to Ross! I love the "nontraditional" engagement ring. Mine was a chunk of turquoise set in silver that DH carved a band for out of dense cherry wood, and inset the brooch. For our 13th anniversary, we had my mom's diamond solitaire reset, but I never wear it. The wedding band I love is hallmarked Irish sterling, with a cabochon moonstone in a yellow gold bezel, bracketed with spirals--they're applied siver wire, one unbroken strand that encircles the band from one spiral to the other. It's full of symbolism for us, and was a 20th anniversary gift. DeBeers isn't anywhere in it.l
