Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I got my favorite skin cream that Sephora discontinued from Lori and Kat, and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee from ita, so xmas eve was fantastic. I just had two cups of the champagne of coffees and so that was cheery.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am glad some cheer was had by you, dollface!

I'm sorry for your blueness Allyson.

-t, did the dog(s?) like the walk also?

Robin, I'm sorry we missed you yesterday, but the inertia of the couch was strong this year.

I have just started Don Quixote and, so far, I'm liking it. What are the odds of that?

No prob--that's what we figured. We are planning on staying home and cocooning (okay, and cleaning) all day today for the same reason.

I was promised some pics of my nephew playing his wee baby grand piano, but alas, there are none. But I will see him in FIVE DAYS.

My dad said he was up half the night assembling various gifts from Santa Gramma and Santa Grampa. Train set, remote control cars, and various noisy things that would annoy a parent but make a grandparent deliriously happy. My dad says the house looks like FAO Schwartz. As it should, I think.

I am sad to have missed you, though. That was the only downside to the Holiday of the Couch.

Okay, gotta go clean the summer room which is where my parents will be sleeping when they get here. Which looks like it will be tomorrow.

Yes ma'am. Oh! We have to do the great key exchange on Thursday.

Kristen is coming home the day after I leave, so maybe she can care for Polgara's cats so you won't have to travel so far?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm definitely heading over to NJ for Christmas next year--as much as I love my father, spending Christmas Eve with his wife's family was not as much fun as one might think (I knew about 2/3rds of them, and none of them were too interested in chatting with me except for the two-year-old daughter of one of the cousins and my stepbrother's kindergartner, who gave me a big hug when I got there), and opening presents on Christmas morning also bit when everyone else had a pile of presents and I had a little gift bag and envelope.

Rah.

But, it is a new day, so:

Happy birthday to Jesse, Theodosia, and Rayne!!

And HAPPY KPRINKLE to everyone!!!

Oh, I forgot to post this--the CUTEST EVER quotes from our friend's just turned three-year-old, First, he showed me a toy which was a figurine of a blonde guy in a cape and told me it was "Mouse Boy." I was trying to figure out what story had a blonde mouse boy in it when his mom said, what's his other name? "Draco Mouseboy," he said.

We were talking about Hanukkah because he had just been at a special kid's event about it at their temple. I was prompting him. "Hanukkah is the Festival of..." "gelt!" he announced with great joy.
