Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Happy KPRINKLE!!

(And how much do I love that after years as a Buffista-ism, "Kprinkle" has finally found itself a definition?)

(THIS MUCH, is how much.)

I probably don't need to eat the gingerbread until after dinner.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy Kprinkle!

Ah. We have finished up the big family unwrapping of presents. Now the cousins are visiting the other side of their family, I've done some cursory clean up, and Frances is napping. This brief bit of relaxation may be the best part of Christmas.

The kids are drowning in gifts. I kept thinking "cute!" and "oy vey!"

My BiL is making the Christmas turkey from a recipe of Alton Brown's that involved brining and cooking it briefly at 500. I'm sure it will be delicious, but he's also set off the fire alarm three times. The third time my father woke up from his nap, and called me in to tell me where the fire extinguishers were.

Then he went back to sleep.
