Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Huh. For some strange reason, I find that I can't drink to excess the way I could when I was in graduate school. What's up with that?

Did you nap?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I tried to do something for you, Perkins. I posted that nice deja vu article. You could have known that only 2/3 of people get deja vu, and if you've had it once you're likely to have it again. But no, I guess that wasn't good enough for you.

What makes you think I didn't read it?

Because the Perkins I know would have thanked me for trying to help her out in her time of need, that's why.

While I'm here, why doesn't peanut butter need to be refrigerated? Also, is it the caffeine in coffee that makes it so it's not good for hydration? Does that mean black tea is less bad and herbal just fine?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

It does. PB will go rancid a lot faster without refrigeration. Unless you're talking about the Jiffy/Skippy shit that has tons of emulsifiers and preservatives in it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yes, caffiene is a diuretic. (Though I remember reading some months back that coffee can still count towards your daily 8 glasses of water, according to whichever authorities keep track of such things. It'll just hydrate you more slowly.)

You weren't clear.

Beth said she was drinking scotch for me.

You said "read up on Deja vu".

One of these things is an unspecific order, the other is a specified nice thing.

Also, is it the caffeine in coffee that makes it so it's not good for hydration? Does that mean black tea is less bad and herbal just fine?

Yes.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

My new favoritest crosspost:

Tom Scola: Huh. For some strange reason, I find that I can't drink to excess the way I could when I was in graduate school. What's up with that?

Perkins: You are Beth. Thank you.

I am giddy with the crossposty goodness that informs me that Scola can't drink like he used to because he is beth. Thank you, Perkins, thank you!
