In my old neighborhood, I would not have given a Christmas gift to our mail carrier. However, our current one is nice, knows Ellie and me, and does a good job.
My FIL gives Christmas $$ to the trash guys and the mail carrier.

I have a mail carrier who only rarely picks up mail from my house, and sometimes snottily crosses out the incorrect number (stated on our lease, but not on the house) and marks the correct one on the mail sent to us. Dude gets no gifts a tall from me.
Have meeting all morning, scheduled to start soon. After lunch, I can just cut out, right?? (Office is closed tomorrow.) The announcement should have already come, but hasn't. Darn those responsible workers!!

I just found out that my twin sister got an ipod nano for a Christmas present from the patent law firm they do a lot of business with. She told me I'm going to have to teach her how to use it--she has never downloaded music before.
