Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've never really had a fancy gadget before. It's kind of fun.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oh, yeah!

I just found out that my twin sister got an ipod nano for a Christmas present from the patent law firm they do a lot of business with. She told me I'm going to have to teach her how to use it--she has never downloaded music before.

She can't possibly share my DNA.

Wow, now that's a vendor gift!

OK, the car service says they'll be here in 7 minutes. Right on, man! Happy holiday to you all. (Just pick one each, OK? "Office closed for the day is a legitimate holiday" too.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

ION, the Santa hat came out today. HO HO HO.

I will be wearing my elfhat. Green hat, red trim. there might be a bell on it, which could be problematical at the library, but I don't care.

I do not tip the postman or the garbagemen. postman- I can figure that out , but here the garbage men never get out of their truck.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I may still cave and get the silver. It's $99 and I could get it for my Christmas present.

Cash, they said on the news yesterday that Amazon has some sort of deal with T-Mobile where you get the phone for $200 with a one year contract - and $275 worth of rebates. I'd definitely check it out.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I feel bad about not tipping my mail carrier and newspaper delivery person, but there's no way I could do it unless I was right there to hand it to them. Cash in an envelope taped to the door would last about ten seconds in my neighborhood.

I've been with Cingular for five years now--and just upped us to the family plan with DH's razr phone. I'm afraid we're locked in for two more years.

More good news:

After meeting with both sides through the night, state mediators have devised a preliminary framework for a settlement of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority contract dispute that would allow strikers to return to work later today, according to four people close to the negotiations.

The people emphasized that the details of a final settlement would take at least a day or two longer to be finalized, although buses and subways would be running before that.
