And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'M HOME!!

And this time, it only took *2* hours! O happy day!

I am mostly packed. I think. There is barely room for my clothes. RIDICULOUS.

If I'm forgetting something or not packing warmly enough OH WELL. I do need to straighten up around here though. It's clean, just cluttered. God, is it cluttered.

Go eat msbelle! Just chew carefully.

That seems a pretty high threshold to me.

It depends on where the restaurant is, I think. 17% is definitely on the low end for NYC.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That seems a pretty high threshold to me.

Yeah, Bitter Waitress better get ready for a long lifetime full of abject disappointment if anything less than 17% is considered an insult. Particularly if the site's theme of snotty entitlement is actually displayed to the customers before they receive the check.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, me too. Who gets to make that call anyway?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

The PATH was not as fun today. It has been "discovered."

Jaysus. If not for my lazy math, this makes we wonder if I've been undertipping in LA. What's a standard NY tip?

18-20%, I'd say. I generally calculate 20% and round down to the nearest dollar. If service was really good, I round up.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

baseline in NY is to double the tax - that gives you about 17%. People here usually round up to 20%, but that is so not typical for the rest of the country. Especially not for non "fancy" places.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I usually do around 20% but not less than 15% . except at the cafe where I eat breakfast. sometimes there is tip , sometimes no tip, and sometimes a 20.00 goes in the tip jar. They only take cash - so it just depends if I haven't tipped in awhile. Or if the person who cuts Matt's hair and colors my hair would take anymoney - since it is her family that owns the cafe I throw extra in the tip jar that week.
