You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm actually getting a lot done this week. I'm not exactly thrilled that I have to do so (we're over a week behind schedule), but it's kind of nice to feel like I'm accomplishing something.

The rapidly increasing soreness of my throat is less nice. I hope this doesn't mess with my Christmas plans.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I suppose I should clarify that while my day is moving like unto molasses, I am not lacking in vexatious work.

Coding and Sleeping

I was thinking just the other day, that the perfect Christmas card would combine a terrorist, Santa packing heat, the baby Jesus, a christmas tree, and explosives.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Wow. That is hilarious. I particularly like how he's stuck the baby Jesus under the Christmas tree -- gotta shoehorn him in there somewhere!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What the fuck is web 2.0, and why should I care? I mean, I've read the pieces on it, and all I see is more web.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Santa's pointing the gun right at the terrorist's explosives.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Web 2.0 means different things to different people.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It has a pretty happy ending, ita. The boy in question is 18 now, and is helping federal prosecutors identify kids in trouble because he knows where to find them. He's in college now.

Out of the many things that were fascinating to me was the piece on how the reporter found this kid, gained his trust, and how the Times hired him a lawyer.

Yeah, I mean, how do I know that Web 2.0 looks the same in my head as it does yours? My Web 2.0 could be your green.

I have a feeling your web 2.0 is my monkey in fake fur.
