I must confess that I am not looking forward to having the Disney convo over and over again during the family Christmas festivities.
I would consider it refreshing if anybody in a family gathering talked to me about anything that isn't my ongoing being-single (how do you say that in one word? singlehood? singlecity? singleness? I know that it isn't "singularity" because that's something in math, and I don't remember anybody in a family gathering talking to be about math). Obviously, that's not the same thing.
In my family, that would ensure it never came up again.
In mine, it would ensure everybody trying to console me about it in the next decade or so.
[Edit: so even when people are nice, I can find something to whine about. Oh, well.]
