That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

No, I'm inside a big building and nowhere near windows. Freaky.

Have you left work yet? How bad is traffic? (I know you take public trans, but you can at least see the roads and I can't!)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How long before vidcasting makes the dictionaries? TiVo lets you subscribe to a videoblog.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I know this is really painful work for you, Daisy, but I'm glad there are people like you doing it. I'm hoping the people you are helping get some comfort from you.

I am feeling smart. It'll pass, I'm sure. In light of the possibility of sleet, I covered my windshield with a tarp thingy. So at least I won't have evil scraping to do in the morning.

I'm getting the pig!

ita, have you seen the Kevin Smith skit about working with Prince? It’s on the An Evening With Kevin Smith dvds. If you haven’t seen it, you must. Hilarious.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

WTF? Huge blast of thunder in the middle of a snow storm.

Huh, I missed the thunder. Must've been to far south for me. I was gonna do some Christmas shopping tonight but I decided to wait until after tomorrow morning rush. My view of Devon looks pretty slushy right now and even the cabbies are driving cautiously.

Daisy Jane, I don't think I could deal with that, but it is so good that you and others are helping these people.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

sara, you are double-smart. Because this:

I know this is really painful work for you, Daisy, but I'm glad there are people like you doing it. I'm hoping the people you are helping get some comfort from you.

is what I would have said if I could have put it into words.

Now I'm trying to decide if I should have hot cocoa with booze or theraflu. I think the cocoa will win.

Random question: You know the Moleskine notebooks? How do you say Moleskine?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks for being all thoughtful and stuff y'all. Finally made it home. Now I'm off to get a scotch or two.

Jesse: Go booze! Choose booze!

Also I'm wearing my TWOP Buffy shirt, because it makes me feel better.

Tea with scotch and honey is also good. My voice is still a bit wonky. High register still gone, but at least I don't sound like a seal any longer.
