And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It just took me 2 1/2 hours to get home.

About half of that was in Chinatown, the 4-5 blocks in-between the FDR drive and the Manhattan Bridge entrance ramp.

Tomorrow, my boss wants to leave at 3. Guess who's not complaining?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

car services are not taking reservations and super shuttle is full, so I can't guarantee a way to the airport Friday morning.

Penn Station is closed because of overcrowding. I heard the line for the LIRR (?) was 22 blocks long. I don't know what to believe. But I hope it's not closed when going to Newark.

The PATH was incredibly easy to use and relatively uncrowded-- I don't understand why everyone who lives downtown wasn't using it.

I'm watching NY1's public affairs show and I get the impression that all the MTA has to do is take the pension age issue off the table, considering the union can't fully contract to it without Albany anyway. If it is that simple, I start to wonder whether MTA intends this as an end to the strike but is hoping to bust the union first.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh. I didn't see any encouraging news on the strike front either. Although you would have more detailed news I'm sure.

msbelle, regarding getting to the airport, see about posting to/on a craigslist or whatever else your community has, for rideshares to the airport. There's gotta be tons of people in your shoes and tons of nice, friendly people willing to help out.

Also, maybe stake out a reserved zipcar or whatever and plead and plead and plead.

strangers scare me. my brother is calling some other places and also trying to swing something through his work's service. If he can get a car, they will stop here for me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The craigslist idea is a good one. Also, going away from the city at an odd time? You might be fine with calling a car. The off-hour thing is what I'm banking on to get to the bus on Thursday.

The PATH was incredibly easy to use and relatively uncrowded-- I don't understand why everyone who lives downtown wasn't using it.

It's confusing. Also? Tainted with Jersey.

it's true. I have offered to just walk and meet him there. It is probably 2-3 miles is all.

Also, I just google mapped it, and it's just two miles. You have a good rolly bag?
