The PATH was incredibly easy to use and relatively uncrowded-- I don't understand why everyone who lives downtown wasn't using it.

I'm watching NY1's public affairs show and I get the impression that all the MTA has to do is take the pension age issue off the table, considering the union can't fully contract to it without Albany anyway. If it is that simple, I start to wonder whether MTA intends this as an end to the strike but is hoping to bust the union first.

Ugh. I didn't see any encouraging news on the strike front either. Although you would have more detailed news I'm sure.
