The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Huh. Sounds cute, but I can see how it would be freaky. I think we need pictures.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

This is also the first time I won't make it in time for the memorial/birthday celebration for Alex which is going to make me wicked depressed on Thursday.

I'm sorry, Daisy Jane. Will you have time on Thursday to do something for him yourself?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What airport is lori flying out of?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've got NY1 on in the background. It doesn't sound good at all.

Looks like I'm carpooling with my boss tomorrow. Go go team 4 hour commute!

DJ, I managed to miss this before (bad skimmer, no biscuit.) I hope you can find time to do something for him, even if it's not with everyone else.

Good lord. Will you have to stay late, or can you count those hours as part of your work day? I mean, you will be hanging out with your boss.

Well, he's going to want to get home to his kids, so I doubt we'll be staying that late. If it goes more than 24 hours, hopefully the company will sponsor some car service options. If not, I'll probably stay with my sister in Manhattan for a couple of days.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

DJ, I'm so sorry to hear you'll miss the memorial. These things are as much about the people you share it with as much as the person you remember. But you can remember him by yourself too--take some special time to do it, or something.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

JFK, bon bon.

DJ, I'm sorry that things are conspiring to make it difficult for you to not make it to the memorial.

I'm so sorry, Daisy. That's rough.
