Don't give up, ita. You've got...us.
In stupid news, the world has really changed. I'm watching A Baby Story on TLC (don't ask), and the couple has really gone through a hard time. She got pregnant the month before they got married, and miscarried the week of the wedding. Then just after they got married, she got pregnant again, but there were big problems with the fetus's heart, so they terminated the pregnancy. Now she's finally about to deliver an apparently healthy baby. But seriously, pregnant before the wedding and an abortion? Mainstream TV is not what it used to be.
Neurologist has referred me to pain management.
Ugh. Don't give up though.
I use proflowers.com, they are straight from the growers, the flowers have always been gorgeous and they usually last a long time. FYI, the flowers from them come unarranged in a box with the vase.
Kat's suggestion of someone to take over the medical stuff was a good one.
At least I don't need an EEG. That was a cockup. But the pain management clinic is making me call the insurance company to make sure the visit will be covered.
OOH! I have to buy some flowers today, and I like the sound of the proflowers for this giftee. Thanks.
How can anyone take photos like that without bracketing? Damn.

Cue Kate Bush.
I'm sorry, ita. Here's hoping the pain people will have useful insights. Pain really is its own subspecialty.
ita, how long after your move did the migrane marathon start?
I was actually just discussing the idea of medical personal assistants with my mom last week. Not like a caregiver, more a paperwork filer, appointment maker, general schedule juggler, google-level researcher, reminder...
One of mom's friends is essentially this (among many other things) for her increasingly less competent MIL, and is looking to see if she can hire someone to take over that task, not because she (friend) can't do it, it would just make the whole thing less fraught due to familial relations.
In a moment of brilliance, when I re-upped my insurance I got a plan with a much lower out of pocket maximum. Although I'd paid my deductible pretty early on, the insurance only covers a percentage until the out-of-pocket is reached. Next year it should be like $500.
A friend has to get surgery, and he really wanted to get it done this year, because there's less of his deductible to pay. I was all "December and you're not done with your deductible? Piker."
