The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

People told me today was going to be busy. They lied.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How can people have such varying definitions of "right away"? If you can't do it right away, please stop saying you will.

I'm on the phone with the stupidest AAA rep ever. I told her I want to transfer my membership, since the SoCal one expires today, and she keeps asking me where I lived in Washington State.

I have no idea where that came from.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah, I thought about a fountain pen, but I'm not sure it's really his kind of thing.

If his name is Lloyd, I'd say no.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh dude! The sudoku website now tracks your best times!

(Yes, I'm hooked on sudoku now. I started doing the ones in the Washington Post when I was home for Thanksgiving, and now that I don't get them in the paper anymore, I do them on the web.)

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Perkins, you're up in NorCal, right? I moved up here 15 or so years ago. I never bothered transferring to a NorCal membership because I would have had to pay a fee to do it and the only difference in membership would have been getting the NorCal AAA mag instead of the SoCal one. Oh, and I would have lost the "seniority" I inherited from my parents.

I just got back from my lunchtime walk. I ran into a co-worker and she told me horror stories of how IT is using OS X to compile daily logs of all activities on our machines. Fuck. I wish I knew enough sysadmin stuff to thwart that somehow.

Art Crawl!!!

I look at that sudoku stuff and my mind just goes blank.

Clearly not my thing.

That's one happy-looking kid, Corwood. Congrats!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know they have them in the Metro, right?

15 minutes left at work! My boss just walked by and I was sitting on the table letting a friend check her email. Do I care? No I do not.
