I got stupid. The money was too good.

So they yanked the primary UPSes out of line last weekend, as they are being replaced this weekend.

The lights just flickered and everything started to whomp.

Oops.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Timelies.

(from 17+ hours ago)

Aiiee. I'm just teasing the Berkeley peeps, honest. I'm getting a head start on all the teasing I'll get for coming from MN. I'll be quiet now. Sorry if I offended.

Also, I'll be done at 6:30ish on the 14th, if anyone wants to grab dinner with me. There will be reminders. Possibly begging.

Capoeira cafe!

Ooooooh.

Robin, sorry about the having-to-fire-someone. That blows.

Ikkyu, producing the shattered cup, added: "It was time for your cup to die."

That is one of my favorite koans of all time.

When I look at it on Safari, the way it is formatted makes it too long for the browser, and I can't see the bottom of the page, and can't leave comments, since I can't get to the "post comment" button.

Me, too, but I'm in IE. Grumble. And ita - the black beads are better.

Yay for Jesse and Emily being done! YAY!

The lights just flickered and everything started to whomp.

Ruh-oh.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Mmm. Kerosene-flavored bacon.

Mmmm, smokey...

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Alias is confusing me. It's sort of random assed.

I liked it. I was amazed at how many of the pseudo-flashback scenes I recognized considering I very rarely watched before last season.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

IOCompletely RandomN, Chicago has a Museum of Holography.

Who knew? C'mon - fess up.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

The lights just flickered and everything started to whomp.

Ha! I know exactly what the whomp sounds like.

I totally forgot Alias was on last night. I was too busy writing.

And I need to choose between broccoli salad and black bean & corn salad for our potluck tomorrow before I go to the grocery store after work.

I have no idea what it's like. I have a gut feeling it was created in the '70s, when holography was the Next Big Thing, and hasn't been updated since. It must be very sad.

eta: here it is [link]

OK, who dares me to email them and complain that the holographs on their website don't work?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Alias works best as an experimental, stream of consciousness art project.

As if Andy Warhol were given a lot of speed and a TV deal.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Testing the backwash of a 747. I love the music choice too.

Very cool. Ignoring the corpse and dead pig talk. No coffee yet.

J, the 14th of January?
