Bah! My heating system has reverted to its default really-cold-weather habit of heating the upstairs until we're boiling in our beds, while the first floor remains under 60 degrees. Feh.

Where is the thermostat located?
Right in the living room, alas.
Don't mess with the thermostat. Thermostat-ma among Somervillians has been weak of late.
You might want to look into having a plumber split your heating system into two zones, one for each floor. At least get an estimate on what it would cost.
Yeah, it's going to be a rewatch. I can't make this linear.
It wasn't terribly linear. Which normally I'm fine with, but last night's started out a little too muddled. Made me really wonder what I'd missed in the last 10 minutes of last week's, but then I realized it was just muddled.
Ice storm OF DEATH has started. Wimpily.
I know all about zone relay valves!! Because my house has the old kind, and they are weird.
My house now has a working thermostat, for the record, but it's not been 100% resolved who is going to pay for Stupendous Eric the Electrician. (Landlord really ought to.) Also, I have to mail stuff to Honeywell to get a refund on their crap product. Bah.
The good news is, it takes a long time for an unheated house to cool down to unbearable. The bad news is, it takes just as long to heat it back up.
I baked cookies last night, but although they are pretty, they don't taste like much except butter. I mean, they have 1/2 lb butter to only a cup of sugar, so that is logical, but it is not what I was expecting. Well, as long as the coworkers don't know what I was expecting, it shouldn't matter.
Mmmmmmm, butter. Sounds good to me.
Testing the backwash of a 747. I love the music choice too.
You know what I think would be hot, on Alias?
Heh. TV Guide had a bit about what's coming up on Alias now that the end is in sight, and one of the creators/writers said there was potential for spin-offs, one of which could be Amy Acker, Sark, and Ron Rifkin as a triumverate of evil. I'd watch it, but somehow I don't think it would fly too well with ABC.
I enjoyed Alias pretty much (Spy Daddy was great - big surprise) but I was really pissed that they've brought Lena Olin back just to be a bad guy again - it makes last season's finale even more non-sensical than it was if that's what they are doing, and if they're not, I'm pissed at the misdirect.
