Yes, I did take classes there, and stopped mainly because I sucked.

ita, the classes are in a back area behind the cafe that random people can kinda see if they're trying. Semi-visible, but not really. Much less visible than the gigantic wall-of-windows gym right next door.

juliana, heh. That's exactly where I thought it would be, and yup, as everyone else said, it's two short blocks from the downtown Berkeley station. Also right by a terrific comic book store whose name I'm brainfarting on, the Other Change of Hobbit Bookstore, Half Price Books, and an excellent gelato shop. Get there early if you can and putter about, or walk the neighborhood at the lunch break.

Also, there's lots of keen art and poetry pressed into the sidewalk all up and down that block of Addison between Shattuck and Milvia.

It moved to a big space on Shattuck. Also, the Half Price Books closed on Solano Ave and moved to Shattuck. I never have enough lunch hours to spend in these places.

Oh! It's the one that was just next door to the Pendragon on Solano? That used to be my Friday evening ritual: walk the dog up to Solano, hit the bookstores, hit the video store, and stop for dinner at Filippo's for takeout. I loved that neighborhood.

Current neighborhood has a bookstore, but it's new books only and it closes at 7 pm, and there isn't anywhere near as much good food. Lots of nail salons, though.

Sad but true: I am sitting here not going to let my boss know I'm available for my yearly evaluation, despite the fact that a) I have already read said evaluation and b) he's told me there isn't going to be anything bad. Twice.
