It would be really nice to get a bonus this year. I hadn't really realized how bad our finances were until I took over the home finances. Between gifts and travel, I don't think there will be enough money to pay all the bills this month.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.
One of the juries I was on a couple of years ago was for a civil trial in which an ex-employee of a company was suing for his end-of-year bonus, which amounted to about 1/4 of his pay for that year. The company claimed he had become officially unemployed on Dec. 8, and that the bonuses were only paid to employees of record as of Dec 15th.
Plaintiff claimed that it was done on purpose that way to save the company $20K, and his ex-boss did a very poor job of trying to claim otherwise.
There was more to it than that, of course, but the company was in the wrong, and they knew it, and the case should never have gone to trial.

TAR: The producers must have really hated the Weavers, because they made the final challenge that unlabeled map and then the challenge that sumi linked to, they weren't going to do any better on. Moral of the story: if you homeschool, please pay more attention to geography.

Pretty much. Everyone who works above me, including my boss, my boss's boss, and my boss's boss's boss, has the same base salary as I do.
