All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Art Crawl!!!

Nip/Tuck: I think we are playing with the regular deck. And I agree with what was said above about Julia and getting her spine back and then they have to throw a wrench in it with that last scene.

Project Runway: Wow, I think that they've got a really talented group of contestants this year. And they appear to have changed some things up.

Alias: Yes, Sark is still cute. Also: Jack Bristow, Renaissance Man. And did you catch the promo?

You know what is disturbingly good? Ciao Bello caramel gelato with Starbucks Coffee Liqueur on top, that's what.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because there shouldn't be things generally considered good (or really any things) that make you feel worse.

Alcohol. IJS.

Not disturbing at all. Jealous-making, perhaps.

You know, there's a reason I do like going to krav, even when I don't feel well. Because there's social contact. It makes me feel less like a caged freak. Plus, there's the bonus of conversations like this:

A: "So when I punch, my forearm will be like those things SWAT uses to open the doors?"
B: "Whuh? Yeah...I guess it's like Grond from Lord Of The Rings. You know...the batt..."
me: "You know the name of the battering ram from Return Of The King? You're a big geek."
B&A: "You like sci-fi! You're a geek too!"
B, conspiratorially: "She totally likes Firefly."
me, muttering: "It's not the same."

[...]

me: "I mean, the battering ram? Knowing the names of the swords is one thing."
B: "Swords?"
me: "Sting, Glamdring, whatever."
B: "You know Glamdring?"
me: "IT WAS IN THE BOOK. And it's very pretty."
B: "Uhuh. Different."
