(and watching people awkwardly interact -my parents and the inlaw- exhausts me.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sounds awfully familiar, Sarameg. Maybe next year we should go to New York or something.

Our wings are not tired.

Or Florida, IJS.

You know, as soon as I can not feel guilty over missing the nephew's birthday (and not cause familial uproar) I'm making my own holidays.

Which should be around the time he hits college, right?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I sit on a plane for a couple of hours to essentially have no privacy for 4ish days, no means of escape, no downtime and far too many well meaning relatives who follow me when I try to find a quiet corner and then wonder why I start snarling...

Substitute "drive for five or six hours" for flying, and Sarameg is me. I go to the bathroom a lot, since that's the only place they'll leave me alone.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Poor sarameg. You should be able to take a holiday off now and then.

I need to do some Christmas shopping, but don't seem to care. This could get ugly in a couple of days.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Can any of it be done online Burrell?

For the first Christmas, I have both the aluminum tree AND the color wheel. I loves it so much. Oz is a little too interested in the color wheel.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Mom flew back from Chicago today and saw a woman holding a blanket, two pillows and wearing a tiara. She'd like to know which Buffista it was.

OK, that's one part of the holiday that is fun: watching the animals go out of their furry little minds over various ornaments.

I'm probably painting the holiday worse than it is. I'm just unexcited right now.

Talking to my parents for nearly 2 hours wasn't such a good idea. Good conversation and all, I'm just now so hoarse that any more talking and I start coughing. Annoying. I think it was being outside in the cold dry air earlier that set it off.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jesse, I just posted...

1. "Twas the Night" - Snoop Doggy Dogg & Nate Dogg. Very fun, with a low gangsta groove. Not for grandma's ears, though.

2. "Put It In Your Egg Nog" - Ice Cube & Pooh. A seasonal St. Ides Commercial.

...at Buffistarawk for your delection. They're both excellent and worth owning.
