"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

The two-hour retrospective was fun to watch.

Was it more than just a catch-up on past seasons? I'll get hold of it, if so.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

No, that's all it was. But it had little gushing bits from the actors and amusing bits from Cuse/Lindelof, and it was just a really nice way to go into the finale, remembering all the reasons we loved the show.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

There was a hilarious Ben-getting-beat-up montage, after which Michael Emerson proclaimed him the most-beaten-up character on television.

Bwah! This is very possibly true.

It helped me to remember why I ever considered myself a fan. It was nice. But. If I need a puff-piece clip show to explain what the hell I've been watching all along...while it may be a nice recap...then I have to think that it's bad television.

Sort of like when I watch a movie I don't like but then am turned around by the 'making of' doc...then does that mean the movie failed on some level. I tend to think so.

I just finished watching it - DH downloaded it for me while i was in work and had it ready to go when I got in the door. I haven't been on t'internet ALL DAY.

In any case, I MAY have shouted 'WHAT THE FUCK' at the screen. Also, I totally called Jack being the next Jacob for like 5 minutes and then handing off to Hurley.

I'm still processing, but I'm kind of okay with it. I don't know how okay with it I'll be when I rewatch this season, knowing what's coming. I don't know if it will feel like there's a point to any of it. I don't suppose there has to be, but if I can't enjoy watching it again, does that mean it's bad?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I didn't NEED it, I just liked it. I would argue vehemently that Lost is not bad television.

My ongoing opinion that it's one of the best things that's ever been on TV is the main reason I'm disappointed with the finale.

Also, if they're going to make sequels I would like a) The Penny and Desmond show, b) The Hurley and Ben show and c) The Richard getting old show. Please and thanks.

Also the Why the Hell Michael and Walt were too Busy to Turn Up show.

The Richard getting old show.

Otherwise known as Watch Richard Try To Get A Job in The 21st Century show. His resume would be a little thin:

Farmer: 1863-1866
Lackey to protector of magical glowy cave on fucked-up island: 1866-2010

Also the Why the Hell Michael and Walt were too Busy to Turn Up show.

I assumed that Michael was still hanging about the island as a whispering ghost as punishment. Walt was busy still growing another 5 feet.

I think that might be all the qualifications you need to be BatManuel.
