I assumed that Michael was still hanging about the island as a whispering ghost as punishment. Walt was busy still growing another 5 feet.

I seriously do not understand the number of people who think that the finale said that everyone died in the crash and the Island was Purgatory. I thought it was pretty damn clear that the Island story was real; THAT WAS THE POINT.

P-C I think... I think that those people might be stupid.

I'd love all the sequels more than the original, I'm afraid.

I didn't NEED it, I just liked it.

Clearly the dysfunction is with me. I started out thinking that Lost was the cleverest, most interestingly populated show I'd ever seen. Serious love. But, as it went on, I quite literally 'lost the plot.' For a while, my love-glow was so bright that I didn't mind not knowing what was going on (not 'where are we going'...I didn't need to know the outcome in order to enjoy it) but got to the point where I was completely without a clue about what was happening in any given moment. That, plus the grim, just took it off my 'good tv' list.

Much like BSG, for me.

It was lovely to see the various characters meeting their storyline's fruition. Nice glow there, but not enough to jumpstart my withered heart.

The only thing that confused the point for me were the shots of the wreckage over the end credits. However, since none of it was smoking, I assumed it was just the leftover wreckage.

I was scared for a minute there (especially with the shot of the shoe stuck to the tree as Jack walked by) that everything was going to turn out to be his dying fantasy after the plane crash (per Occurrence at Owl Creek, Jacob's Ladder, etc.). Which WOULD have been funny in one way since Jack was originally supposed to die in the first half of the pilot.

My first thought was that I'd watch that, but with Hurley in charge of the island I suspect everything would just go smoothly and there'd be no drama. Which might still be amusing in terms of dialog and whatnot.

OH! I totally thought that until I read the Project Rungay recap. But I stopped watching 1/2way through the 2nd season and was only half watching last night.

I had to stop watching the show because it stopped making sense and it seemed pretty clear that the creators did not have a clue about where they were going.

Once I did understand the end I thought it was a total cop out. Because everyone was dead or whatever they didn't have to explain the crazy stuff going on on the island at all? Huh? (Granted there's probably some stuff they explained over the years that I missed but from talking to my fiance, a fan, and see other peoples' comments, there were still many, many outstanding questions.)

I always liked the characters though and the setting. I just wished they'd stuck with their original stated plan that nothing that was going on was supernatural. But I guess that was too hard to do.
