I keep forgetting Hurley is Hugo. And I'm too old school for Miles and Richard. So they just knocked off all the original Asian characters, then. Quite a blast, for the timeline, in one ep.

JJ Abrams. Going. To. Hell.
And then there were three. (Is it settled that Jack is *the* candidate, as Sayid suggested? Or is that outcome still up for grabs?)
HIS NAME IS JACK[OB]!
is it any wonder that Jack is THE candidate?
I think it is between Jack and Hurley. Given the arc of the series, it probably makes more sense for Jack = Jacob. Given that the creators said (in season 1) that 'Lost' was a battle between Locke and Jack (they've said so much since then, so I take this with a grain of salt), I wouldn't be surprised if the "final battle" is Jack vs. Locke.

But that's just so BORING. I wanted a Jin and Sun double-act. With lightning and earthquakes.
And I'm done whining.
I don't know what it is - if it's the writing or the acting that has changed, but Jack hasn't annoyed me this season. Curious.
There is the sideways-verse. I'm hanging on to some finding happiness there.
javachik, I agree. Jack has been actually really good this season, with moments of badassery, even. I think it helped that he wasn't the de facto leader anymore and, in fact, came to grips with the fact that all this time, he was really only the leader because of de facto.
Could still be Sawyer, no?
The Girl keeps pointing out that Kate was on Jacob's list (at the lighthouse), and that there was no reason why she should be crossed off the other list. And then I remind her that logic and Lost don't really mix.
