I sure didn't see Kate's name. Maybe Jacob found her annoying, too.

I'm thinking Sawyer's parents aren't dead either...
I think the changes in the alterna-line have to come after the island was blown up.
If we assume that Papa Locke didn't throw Locke out a window, maybe Pap Locke is good in this timeline, and he didn't kill Sawyer's parents. (Er, con them and contribute to their deaths. You know what I mean.)
So maybe Sawyer isn't a con man in this timeline, and telling Hurley on the plane to watch out for people trying to take advantage of him was sincere.

(...and it just struck me that he should have been rushing home to prevent the murder-suicide from happening instead of living on the island with the Dharma bums.)
I believe last season Sawyer said to Juliet, when they first came across the Dharma Initiative that where they were in the 70s was past the point of his parents dying.
Did I miss it, or was Kate's name not on the wall?
Sharp-eyed folk have spotted that Kate's name was on the wall, but it was crossed out. We know that Jacob touched Kate.

I kind of like "Exposé," honestly. It's kind of cracktastically awesome.

Only good thing to come out of the whole Paolo/Nicki debacle, IMO.
I found the whole "Hey, they were standing just off-camera for all these key scenes THE WHOLE TIME" thing hilarious.

I loved the whole "Mistakes were made. We're sorry. We won't do it again. Nothing to see here. These aren't the Poochies you weren't looking for." on the part of the showrunners. It was so obvious it was funny as hell.
Interesting posts:
IT'S A CHESS MATCH! Think of it like this. If the board is left with a white king and black king, one cannot kill the other. It's a stalemate. But if you can add more pieces (bring more people to the island), there remains the possibility of a checkmate. A king can't kill a king, but another piece can. They've both been trapped in a stalemate for God knows how long. Why? Because the other "pieces" keep getting added to the board, but they just kill each other instead of going for the checkmate.
and
I think Esau is playing chess, where it's all about the king, and a pawn or two is no big sacrifice. Jacob may be playing backgammon, where you have to free all your pieces. It's kinda like the contrast between "Live together, die alone" and "Every man for himself."
Ooh, where are you getting these posts?
